Muddy and Glossy

There is nothing like the nostalgic feeling of days gone by. As I think of them in my own mind, I can see visions of my childhood days in sepia tones. Only now to be watching grandkids play on an old tire swing, while grandpa builds a tree house. Seeing them run in a grassy field with the warm, summer breeze. Peering out the kitchen window as they dig holes in the chicken yard, then scrambling to see how many eggs were laid. Watching them play for hours in the sand box, created by gentle hands. To top off the daily adventure, we indulge in homemade ice cream drizzled with chocolate. Then grandma tells funny farm stories, as night time dreams carry them off into a restful sleep.

If I could paint a picture with words spoken from the private chambers of my heart and bless another soul, then I have come face to face with a living God. To Him be the Glory!
